Spring 2026 – Harrell Bridge removal and replacement
The pedestrian bridge crossing the creek north of the Harrell Medical Education Building (commonly referred to as the “Harrell Bridge”) will be removed and rebuilt as part of an upcoming infrastructure improvement project.
The existing structure has reached the end of its service life and will be replaced to improve safety, accessibility, and long-term durability. Due to the current condition of the structure, this project is necessary to ensure continued pedestrian safety and reliable campus access.
Demolition is planned for February 2nd, 2026. Updates on reconstruction will be shared as they become available.
Additional details regarding timing, access changes, and detour routes will be communicated prior to the start of work.
