Duke Energy will be performing power pole replacements along transmission lines on Archer Road, Center Drive and Mowry Road as shown in the map below from May 5^th through May 27^th.

This project will result in wooden power poles being upgraded to taller steel poles that are better able to withstand high winds. This work is part of a larger grid hardening initiative to enhance the ability to provide safe, reliable service even in extreme weather conditions.

These replacements will primarily occur at night. The work is expected to have minimal traffic impacts, and it is not expected to cause electric service interruptions. Thank you for your patience as these critical upgrades are performed to support the campus community.
